Visit to Oregon Coast
Just got back from a wonderful visit to the Oregon Coast for our 5th anniversary.

We flew in Thursday to Portland, rented a red 2003 Pontiac Sunfire from Hertz for $49 and drove down I-5 to Corvalis and then over to Newport.

While there, I managed to visit Rogue breweries. We stayed at a wonderful little B&B called The Tyee Lodge. They treated us real nice. We then proceeded up US Hwy 101, The Pacific Coast Highway, and took our time along all the beautiful beaches and small sleepy towns up the coast. We stayed the next night at a sort of dive hotel, House on the Hill in Ocean Side, but the view was great and the food was tasty.

We got up Saturday and drove North to Canon Beach and stayed at Hallmark Inn on the beach at Haystack Rock.

Canon Beach is a bit too snooty for me, but the stay was enjoyable. We finished off our tour by heading North this morning into Astoria and then along US Hwy 30 back along the Columbia to Portland.
Great vacation!
